Who is IMDER

THE SHINING PEARL OF THE WORLD, TURKIYE!

İMDER that was established in 2002, brings together the sectoral subsidiaries of the significant actors of the Turkish Economy like BORUSAN, ÇUKUROVA, E-MAK, ENKA, ERG, GAMA, HİDROMEK, STFA, IŞIKLAR, KOÇ, KOÇ, SABANCI, TEKNO under its roof. The sector that goes back to 75 years, is represented by İMDER members at a scale of 93%.
The sector that appeals to all fields of investments in infrastructure/superstructure, public works and investments, consists of 2,000 manufacturer companies and 14,000 distributor companies according to TÜİK with 15,000 female and 110,000 male workers reaching to 125,000 in total. The overall employment generated by the sector directly and indirectly sums up to 900,000 with 100,000 operators and users.

Our sector that operates fully towards to investments, carries a total volume of $6.5 Billion with exports to over 120 countries generating $1.2 Billion and the export volume target that is set for 2023 is $10 Billion. In order to reach to this target, the necessary amount of production is $13.8 Billion which requires an investment of $4.5 Billion in our country by domestic and international investors. Turkey stands as the 4th biggest construction machinery producer of Europe with a total sales amount of 12,700 units and ranks 6th in Eurasia.

World construction machinery industry is one of the key actors of the global economy with an annual turnover of $200 Billion. The total amount of planned investments in our country until 2030 is $1.3 Trillion. It is forecasted that the annual sales figures will reach to 30,000 units by the year 2030 with a fiscal volume of $30 Billion

IMDER of which all of the leading companies and the subsidiaries of the biggest holdings of Türkiye in the Construction Equipment Sector are members, by earning the name 'TURKIYE' before its name with approval of relevant ministries, continues to grow with its new valuable members. IMDER strongly and effectively maintains its activities on both national and international platforms. In accordance with Law No. 5253, with the Interior Ministry's and all relevant ministries' approval in 2007, IMDER has gained the right to use the name of Turkiye. Out of 98,000 associations, only 485 associations can use the name 'Türkiye' as the name is only granted to institutions and organizations complying perfectly to the criteria the government set.

The Main Missions of IMDER

Representing approximately 200 companies; including the IMDER Members and Sector Committees, established in 2002, Turkish Construction Equipment Distributors and Manufacturers Association; IMDER`s main missions are:

• To increase relations between its members around: 'Ethical Competition and Laws'
• To act as the platform where relevant issues, problems and solutions of the sector are solved,
• To increase the dialogue between the Sector Members and the State of Government,
• EU-World integration between Sector and Government of Turkiye,
• To represent IMDER members and our country in all international fairs and organizations,

As a result of achievements in our working principles, IMDER's position has become incontestable in our industry, our official Institutions, in Europe and worldwide. IMDER has face to face meetings with 200 bureaucrats, including 45 ministers and with the official government offices as it continuously develops all the necessary studies and cooperation.

İMDER has 8 different sectoral committees. These committees include Crane Sector Committee, Breaking, Drilling and Sifting Machinery and Facilities Sector Committee, Rental Sector Committee, Compact Sector Equipment, Asphalt and Road Equipment and Machinery and Facilities Sector Committee, Tunnel Machinery Sector Committee, Manufacturing Sector Committee, Concrete Machinery and Equipment Sector Committee and all committees has continuous activities one by one. These committees, which meets every two months, bring together representatives of different product ranges, problems, listen to these problems and solve the problems of the sector by focusing on the work of the association.
